Give it to God and Go to Sleep

Life is stressful. First you have to get good grades and good test scores to get into college. Then you have to apply to college. Then once you finally get over the hump, you have to survive college and try to get good grades. Next comes applying and getting a job. It is a constant cycle of stress, that seems like it will never end. Sometimes I stay up at night just worrying about stuff, not doing anything about it but just stressing and causing anxiety. Recently, I came across this quote, "Give it to God and Go to Sleep." Today's culture (particularly at competitive universities), is to constantly stress and talk about the stress so much that it causes other people to think that they need to be stressed. Instead of stressing, remember: God already has a solution. It is so hard to just let it go and trust in God, but he has a plan for you, he is in love with you, and he wants the absolute best for you. In Psalm 29:3 it says, "he restores and revives my life." God knows exactly what is going on in your life and what you are struggling with. He is working in your life, even if you don't see him working, trying to help you have the best life and lay out the best plan for you.

Let God work the night shift, don't spend another sleepless night trying to figure out all your problems. Trust God and know he is working. But, you have to give it over to him. He cannot work in your life if you do not put your trust in Him. "Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed," Proverbs 16:3. Every little things is going to be all right. Its easy to look at the worst, when He has given you the best. How much happier would we be if instead of stressing, we prayed? We prayed to God to make us whole, to show us the plan he has, and to fully trust him. You still have to work and plan for your goals, but when you hit a bump in the road God is there. You are not struggling alone. So hand your struggles over to God, pray about, and you will be alright.

“Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.” Psalm 37:24
