Don't Judge Someone Just Because They Sin Differently Than You

Everyday we are faced with the sin of others and the temptation to sin ourselves. It is so so easy to give in to what ever sin you are faced with. One way we sin the most, is judging other people's sin. But, in God's eyes all sins are weighted the sin. The one who cheats is the same worth of the person who gossips or finds worth in world goods (which is so easy to do). In Proverbs 11 verse 27 it says, "Anyone can find the dirt in someone. Be the one who finds the gold." Wouldn't it be so cool and wouldn't the world be a much happier place if instead of looking for the bad in a person, we look towards the good. We all sin differently from each other, but thats the thing. We all sin. Sometimes we don't acknowledge that we are sining, but we are constantly sinning as humans. It is so hard for us to stop sinning because it is what we are used to doing. We will continue to be tempted with sin from those around us. The devil won't bother you while you're living in sin, he'll bother you when you're trying to get out. We are called to repent of our sins, not judge others for how they may sin.
It is also really easy to weigh our own sins against each other. We do this to justify it to ourselves. Tim Keller says, "The sin that is most destructive in your life right now is the one you're most defensive about it." We continue to tell ourselves that doing this one thing is okay because its a "small sin." No sin is small, it is all weighted the same for God. The best way to overcome sin is to admit you have a problem. "When you become aware of your guilt in any of these ways, you must confess your sin (Leviticus 5:5)." This is the same with any problem you face, you have to acknowledge it and face it to see how you can change it. Pray to God that He will show you how to overcome it. Even though all sins are the same and we are constantly sinning, it doesn't mean that God is okay with all sins. He wants you to be able to repent and overcome, and He is there to help you do it. He wants us to leave this lifestyle of sin.
